The Palace of Flowing Waters

DSCN0016 DSCN0012    DSC02216DSCN0001 DSC02213 DSC02204 DSC02202 DSC02199 DSC02198Three years ago we made our way to the Waterworks Building on the Avenida Cordoba in the north of Buenos Aires.

The Waterworks Building, most properly known as The Palace of Flowing Waters (Palacio de Aguas Corrientes) is described as an DSCN0005architecturally significant water pumping station in Buenos Aires.

Buenos Aires has been DSCN0011described as the Paris of the South. Thus it is no surprise that in 1877 Swedish Argentine architect Carlos Nyströmer was commissioned to create this gorgeous edifice.

Please enjoy our photographs, taken on location.
